Sunday morning – advice for a happy life and prayers for world peace

    The class will be held in the Bow Room on the first floor and will be available in-person only.  No booking necessary.

    These classes are for everyone in our area of East and North Yorkshire and those connected to Madhyamaka KMC, KMC York, our branch class areas of Scarborough, Bridlington, Beverley, Stamford Bridge, Goole.  If you live elsewhere you can find your local centre who will be offering livestream classes here https://kadampa.org/map

  • Covid-19 Safety Guidelines

    For the continued safety of our attendees and staff:

    * if you (or someone you live with) have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or have developed symptoms (principally high temperature, persistent cough, loss of smell or taste among others) within the last 14 days, please do not attend;

    * the wearing of face masks inside the building and meditation room is encouraged;

    * the seating will be spaced out;

    * hand sanitiser will be readily available;

    * the windows will be open to allow ventilation therefore please bring warm clothing for your comfort ;

    *  touch points will be sanitised regularly

Buddhist Meditation Teacher, Felicity Beaumont

Join us on Sundays and feel empowered to change yourself and change the world. These classes include a guided meditation, short teaching and beautiful chanted prayers for world peace. The focus is on solutions to problems in daily life, including genuine optimism through the development of altruism.

  • Guided meditation

    Be guided in a short breathing meditation and connect to an experience of inner peace. No prior experience is necessary.

  • Short talk

    Every week the teachings explore one aspect of Dharma, or Buddha’s teachings, which focus on solutions to problems in daily life, inducing genuine optimism and increased happiness.

  • Prayers for world peace

    Enjoy beautiful chanted prayers to enhance your experience of peace and happiness. Singing is not required and prayer booklets are available.

  • Relax and enjoy

    After the class why not visit our World Peace Café and enjoy the grounds?
