A Special 40th Anniversary Event

‘Madhyamaka’ means Middle Way in Sanskrit.  On this very special weekend course with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, NKT General Spiritual Director, we will receive precious teachings on the essence of Nagarjuna’s instructions on the Middle Way.

Why do we need to understand and meditate on the Middle Way?

The root of all our suffering is the ignorance of self-grasping, together with its imprints. To sever this root, it is necessary to develop the wisdom realizing ultimate truth, or emptiness, motivated by the supreme good heart of bodhichitta.

In particular, we have to realize that the two truths – conventional truth and ultimate truth – do not contradict but mutually assist each other. By understanding the two truths, and the union of the two truths, we will realize the middle way that is free from the two extremes.

Gen-la Dekyong will give a special commentary to this profound teaching across the weekend, emphasizing its practical application within our busy, modern lives.

Everybody is welcome.
