Main meditation class with Gen Tharpa

  • DAY & TIME

    Tuesdays | 7:30pm – 8.30pm, concluding with optional Q&A after the class

    This class is available

    1.  In Person.  There will be limited spaces available in the meditation room therefore booking is essential.  We shall be adhering to strict Covid-19 safety guidelines.  We regret that we are unable to provide refreshments after the class at present.  

    2. Live-streamed direct to your home. When you have booked below you will be sent a link to access the class but if you are unable to join at the specified time, a recording will be available for you to watch for a further 2 days.

    These classes are for everyone in our area of East and North Yorkshire and those connected to Madhyamaka KMC, KMC York, our branch class areas of Scarborough, Bridlington, Beverley, Stamford Bridge, Goole.  If you live elsewhere you can find your local centre who will be offering livestream classes here https://kadampa.org/map

  • COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES

    In accordance with Government guidelines please:

    * if you (or someone you live with) have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or have developed symptoms (principally high temperature, persistent cough, loss of smell or taste among others) within the last 14 days, please do not attend;

    * face coverings must be worn inside the building;

    * follow social distancing guidelines of 2m apart;

    * sanitise hands as you enter;

    * as blankets cannot be provided, wearing layers would

    be helpful;

    * your booking will provide us with track and trace

    details if required;

    *  if you wish, please bring along your own water

These feature classes with Gen Kelsang Tharpa cover a wide range of engaging topics. Drop in whenever you can as each class is self-contained.

The classes include 2 guided meditations and a practical teaching on how to apply the ancient wisdom of Buddha’s teachings to busy modern life. Not to be missed!

The classes conclude with the opportunity to discuss the class with the teacher and/or other members of the class.

It is up to us to choose how we want to feel.  We can either let our mind be controlled by circumstances and be dragged down into the dark pit of depression, or we can choose to look on the positive side and transform our life with joy.
