Easter Weekend Course | 7-9 April with Gen Kelsang Jigme | followed by 1-day retreat
In his very first teaching, the Sutra of the Four Noble Truths, Buddha explained clearly how we can understand the true nature of suffering and how to abandon its causes:
You should know sufferings.
You should abandon origins.
You should attain cessations.
You should practise the path.
In order to eradicate our suffering, we must first understand where it comes from. Through training the mind using Buddha’s teachings on the Four Noble Truths, we can learn how to fully eliminate all of our suffering and its causes, and discover lasting inner peace and happiness.
On this course, Gen Kelsang Jigme will offer practical advice on how we can apply the Four Noble Truths to our daily lives and use them to solve the problems we encounter in the modern world.
The weekend course begins on Friday evening and finishes on Sunday lunchtime, followed by a one day retreat.

About the Teacher
The course will be taught by Gen Jigme, the Resident Teacher at Bodhisattva KMC, Brighton. Ordained as a monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Jigme has studied, practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. He shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in our daily life.
