Becoming a Friend of the World | 14th – 16th July | with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang
Many people have the altruistic wish to benefit others, but few understand how to accomplish this successfully in daily life. Bodhisattvas are friends of the world, which means that they care about all living beings, They have such strong compassion that they are able to transform all their activities into methods for helping and benefiting everyone.
The path of the Bodhisattva was explained in the universally loved poem Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life by the eighth century master Shantideva. Drawing on the commentary to this poem found in Meaningful to Behold by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Gen-la Kunsang will explain how to integrate this profound practice into our busy modern lives. This practical guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life is essential for those wishing to develop a lifestyle characterised by greater empathy and compassion for others.
