Finding Stillness Within Day Retreat

    This course will be live-streamed direct to your home. When you have booked below you will be sent a link to access the course.  If you can’t make the course or wish to see it again, you will have access to the recorded class for 48 hours once the live course has ended via a link that will be sent to you.

    We recommend that you find a quiet, comfortable space to get the most out of the retreat. Most importantly, enjoy!

    These classes are for everyone in our area of East and North Yorkshire and those connected to Madhyamaka KMC, KMC York, our branch class areas of Scarborough, Bridlington, Beverley, Stamford Bridge, Goole.  If you live elsewhere you can find your local centre who will be offering livestream classes here https://kadampa.org/map

Finding Stillness Within Day Retreat

Join Guest Teacher, Paul Jenkins, Resident Teacher of Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre for this live-streamed guided meditation day retreat.

This retreat offers a practical opportunity to engage in guided meditation and learn how to improve both our mindfulness and concentration. By cultivating mental stillness in meditation we will see how it is possible to maintain a sense of peace and contentment throughout our day. With pure concentration our body and mind are always comfortable and flexible and we gain control over our mind.

It is suitable for beginners wanting to learn the basics of effective meditation and for experienced meditators who wish to deepen their practice.

Everybody welcome!

Our courses are a perfect way to both relax and develop internally. They are ideal for those who are new to meditation and those who would like to improve.

This Day Retreat is guided by Paul Jenkins, the Resident Teacher of Tara KMC in Derbyshire. He is a dedicated student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 30 years. He is married with 3 children and has practical experience of integrating Modern Buddhism within a busy, professional and family life.

For many years a senior teacher at Manjushri KMC, Paul is well known for the clarity and warmth of his teachings and for his good heart. His teachings come from deep experience of practicing meditation, and are clear and accessible.
