Dealing With Loss: a half day course with Gen-la Kunsang

Losing the people and things that we love and dealing with unwanted changes in our lives is an experience that we often find deeply painful. Although we long to find lasting pleasure, comfort and security in other people and things, the truth is that none of these relationships and situations will last forever. Every meeting ends in parting.

On this course Gen-la Kunsang will explain how, through learning meditation techniques, we can cultivate a special wisdom that will help us to deal with the inevitable winds of change and loss in our lives, so that eventually we can always remain calm and happy. Through developing these meditation practices we can become a strong, wise and peaceful person and increase our ability to benefit both ourselves and others.

Everyone is welcome, no previous experience is necessary.

BOOKS USED ON THIS COURSE

How to Transform Your Life: A Blissful Journey

This book is a practical manual for daily life. It shows how we can develop and maintain inner peace, how we can reduce and stop our experience of problems, and how we can bring about positive changes in our life that will enable us to experience deep and lasting happiness.

Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully

We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this fact. This inspiring book helps us to make the most of our human life, to prepare for death and to help others who are dying.
