Weekend Meditation Retreats
A weekend meditation retreat is a chance to break away for a short period and enjoy the tranquillity of Madhyamaka Centre and its surrounding countryside. In a weekend meditation retreat you learn how to practise meditation which is a vital tool for decreasing stress and tension and improving health and happiness. The retreat also includes talks on a certain theme, designed to help solve our daily problems and increase inner wellbeing. These weekends are a great success, offering friendship, solace and comfort for those who attend. Some retreats are suitable for complete beginners and others for more experienced practitioners.

Learn to Meditate Weekend
Meditation: The Basics
25 – 27 June
Meditation helps us to disengage the mind from the busyness of everyday life and create a special feeling of inner peace. When we feel peaceful, we naturally feel happy, contented and relaxed and this has a positive influence on everything we think, say and do.
On this weekend meditation retreat, you will learn:
* how to meditate
*how to settle the body and mind
*how to overcome distractions
*how to sit in the correct posture
*when and how often to meditate
*how to establish a regular meditation practice
This weekend meditation is ideal for beginners. It is structured with classes consisting of a short explanation about the basics of meditation, a guided meditation and the chance ask questions. It is a relaxed schedule with plenty of time for rest and relaxation in our beautiful grounds. You will find it a supportive and enjoyable way to make new friends who also want to learn how to live a more peaceful and stress-free life.
