Instruction in breathing meditation
This helps to increase inner calm, reduce stress and promote good health. ‘about meditation’
A talk on basic Buddhist psychology
The topics covered in these talks vary throughout the year. The overall aim of the talk is to provide practical advice based on ancient wisdom to help us to cope with the difficulties of daily life and increase our happiness.
This month the teachings are based on the practice of cherishing others, which is the way to achieve fulfilment and improve our relationships. (change this line as the topics change)
Contemplation meditation
This is guided by the teacher and enables us to familiarise our mind with an aspect of the talk, which will help to effect a positive change in our outlook and thoughts
Question and answer session.
An opportunity to discuss, debate and clarify the main points of the evening with other attendants and the teacher.
The classes conclude with refreshments and chance for informal conversation.
